August 18, 2026·Minds Team # **Minds Panel Analytics for Looker Studio** The Minds Panel Analytics connector reads the live analytics object for one existing Panel and exposes each top-level metric as a Looker Studio row. It uses API-key authentication, reads data only, and does not change the Panel. Turn analytics from an existing Minds Panel into a Looker Studio data source for reports, recurring reviews, and shared dashboards. ## What the connector accesses The connector reads the analytics endpoint for the Panel ID you enter. It exposes three fields: | Field | Meaning |
| --- | --- | | `panel_id` | The existing Minds Panel ID used for the data source | | `metric_name` | The name of a top-level analytics metric | | `value_json` | The metric value serialized as JSON so nested analytics remain available | The connector does not create, edit, delete, or run a Panel. It does not read unrelated Panels after validating the API key. ## Requirements - A [Minds account](https://getminds.ai) - A Minds plan that includes API access. See [plans and pricing](https://getminds.ai/pricing). - A Minds API key from [Settings, API Keys](https://getminds.ai/settings/api-keys) - The ID of an existing Minds Panel ## Connect a Panel 1. Open the Minds Panel Analytics connector from Looker Studio. 2. Enter your Minds API key when Looker Studio requests credentials. 3. Enter the ID of the Panel you want to report on. 4. Connect the data source and select the fields needed by your report. 5. Refresh the data source whenever you want Looker Studio to load the current Panel analytics. ## Data and credential handling Looker Studio stores the API key in your own Google Apps Script user properties. The key is never committed to the public source code. The connector sends it only to `https://getminds.ai/api/v1/` as a Bearer credential. When credentials are entered, the connector makes a minimal authenticated Panel-list request to validate the key. For report data, it sends the Panel ID and reads that Panel's analytics. Reset the data-source credentials in Looker Studio to remove the stored key.
