Asia Fast Fashion Guilt Shoppers are consumers across East, South, and Southeast Asia who regularly purchase fast fashion while experiencing varying degrees of ethical discomfort about environmental and labour impacts. Three distinct guilt types drive this group's internal conflict, moral guilt, social responsibility guilt, and financial guilt, yet for roughly 70% of guilt-aware shoppers, these feelings do not translate into changed purchasing behaviour, as rationalization and deflection remain the dominant coping strategies. Affordability of sustainable alternatives, limited accessibility, and trust deficits in sustainable brands are the structural barriers most cited for sustaining the intention-behaviour gap across the region.
