# Minds and Philosophie Magazin bring Immanuel Kant to readers as an interactive AI Mind

BERLIN, April 25, 2026 - Minds and [Philosophie Magazin](https://www.philomag.de/) today launched an interactive Immanuel Kant, an AI "Mind" embedded directly on the magazine's website that invites readers to put their own questions to one of the most influential thinkers in the history of philosophy.

The Kant Mind runs on Minds' synthetic persona technology and is grounded in Kant's writing and ideas. Visitors to philomag.de can open a conversation and explore how a Kantian perspective approaches questions of ethics, freedom, knowledge, and judgment. The experience is delivered through Minds' embeddable widget, which places the philosopher's voice inside the editorial environment itself rather than in a separate app.

The collaboration grew out of a question both partners kept returning to: can AI philosophize? Instead of answering it in the abstract, Minds and Philosophie Magazin chose to build something readers could try for themselves, and to treat the result as an open experiment rather than a finished verdict.

"Philosophy has always been a conversation that reaches across centuries," said Prof. Dr. Friedrich von Borries, Co-Founder of Minds. "An interactive Kant does not replace reading Kant. It lowers the threshold to encountering him, and it makes the act of questioning a thinker tangible for a much wider audience."

For Minds, the project extends synthetic personas beyond market research into intellectual and cultural history. A Mind is a focused, grounded perspective rather than an all-knowing assistant, and the Kant Mind is designed to be questioned and challenged, not taken as a final authority on what Kant would say.

"A Mind is not a general chatbot. It is a specific point of view that you can interrogate," said Alexander Doudkin, CEO & Co-Founder of Minds. "That Philosophie Magazin, a publication built on rigorous thinking, chose to bring a Kant Mind onto its own website is the strongest endorsement we could hope for. It treats AI as a tool for closer reading, not a shortcut around it."

On the magazine's side, the project was developed together with the Philosophie Magazin editorial team and reflects the publication's ongoing interest in how technology reshapes the way we think.

The launch follows Minds' wider work with synthetic panels and AI personas across market research, product development, communication testing, and expert simulation. The Kant Mind applies the same technology to a different purpose: helping readers meet an idea, and the thinker behind it, in their own words.
